Last week, because I bow to peer pressure and had seen a zillion photos of cute things pop up on my Instagram feed, I set out for the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale. And, because I'm also a bad influence, I convinced two friends from work to join me.
First stop, the shoe section where my friends each picked up a pair of these shoes in black. I tried them on too. Sadly, the didn't fit me. Then we headed for the purses where the bag that I had been coveting was completely SOLD OUT. I was beginning to think that this shopping trip was going to be a complete bust when we headed for the clothes. Then, I spotted it. This cute shirt from one of my favorite brands in the coveted yellow "Half Yearly Sale" section. I grabbed it and said, "I'm going to try this on." Then my friend said, "That's cute! I'm going to try it on too!" And, not to be left out, our other friend said, "Well, you might as well grab one for me."
We agreed to try on the shirts and step out of the dressing room at the same time and, I kid you not, the shirt looked super cute on each one of us. But that's not the only thing ... even though we have very different shapes, and are normally very different sizes, the same size shirt fit ALL OF US! It was like I had stepped into my own version of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! In the end, we all bought the super cute shirt and made a promise ... text when you're wearing it ... having the same shirt is fun, looking like triplets at work ... not so much!
